This Sales Manager / Assistant Sales Manager opportunity is available in two locations: Central and Penang . The successful candidate will be responsible for driving, maintaining, and expanding relationships with retail customers within assigned territories. You will build and nurture strong business partnerships with retail clients, ensuring the profitability of key accounts through effective execution of the 4Ps (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) across all our brands in retail outlets. Your role is critical to achieving strategic business objectives through optimal sales performance. With a deep understanding of market and key account dynamics, you will identify growth opportunities, deliver outstanding sales execution, and develop initiatives to drive incremental sales. This will involve close collaboration with retail customers and our marketing team to create and implement effective sales strategies for your assigned accounts. Job Responsibilities: Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and other key strategic objectives for assigned key accounts/region. Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned key accounts/region. Ensure all our brands' 4Ps fundamentals outperform the competition in-store, by working closely with merchandisers to ensure productive and consistent execution excellence for our products every day. Proactively lead the operational planning process and Joint Business Reviews (JBR) that develop mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a productive retailer-supplier partnership. Proactively assess, clarify, and validate retailer and shopper needs on an ongoing basis, and lead development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary internal and partner personnel. Ensure discipline and timely completion of all related administrative work (e.g. trade promotion spend, AR collections, etc.) in accordance with all operational SOPs. Prepare monthly reports — competitor activities, sales performance by chain, and up-to-date trade spend monitoring — and review trade spend to maximize ROI. Responsible for the annual business cycle, including agreement negotiations for assigned accounts. Drive customer collaboration and Joint Business Plans (JBP) with retailers to build sales growth and effectively manage all promotional campaigns, delivering value to the business. Generate new market opportunities and new business accounts. Support the superior in managing day-to-day sales planning, monitoring, and operations. Responsible for the yearly sales process and strategic development planning with partners. Conduct monthly forecast planning. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Company from time to time Job Requirements Minimum SPM/Diploma/Degree. Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales Planning or Account Management (sales planning & operations), preferably within the FMCG industry. FMCG sales experience in General Trade or Key Accounts (e.g., Hypermarkets, Baby Shops, E-commerce) is highly preferred and will be valuable in driving solid change and business growth. Proven track record of success in sales, with strong expertise in sales planning and 4P store execution within the FMCG sector. Strong analytical abilities, with a fact-based approach to decision-making. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Proficient in both written and verbal English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
