Horticulturist Coordinator

About the role We are a leading landscape and horticulture company providing landscape maintenance, tree management, and horticultural services for government agencies, commercial developments, and institutional clients. We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Horticulturist Coordinator to oversee horticultural operations, ensure high-quality landscape maintenance, and support the successful delivery of government landscape contracts. Key responsibilities Coordinate and supervise daily horticultural and landscape maintenance activities across multiple sites. Develop and implement maintenance programmes for trees, shrubs, turf, groundcovers, and ornamental plants. Monitor overall plant health and recommend appropriate horticultural treatments and improvements. Identify plant diseases, pest infestations, nutrient deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions. Plan and coordinate plant replacement, seasonal planting, pruning, fertilising, irrigation, and weed control programmes. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure maintenance standards meet contractual requirements. Prepare inspection reports, identify defects, and coordinate rectification works. Monitor contractors and site teams to ensure work quality, productivity, and compliance with company standards. Support the implementation of NParks and other government landscape maintenance contracts. Plan and coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors. About you Diploma or Degree in Horticulture, Landscape Management, Arboriculture, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. Relevant experience in landscape maintenance or horticultural operations. Good knowledge of tropical plants, trees, turf management, pest and disease control, and horticultural best practices. Experience with NParks or government landscape maintenance contracts is highly preferred. Strong organisational, planning, and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Able to work independently and supervise multiple work sites. Certified Practising Horticulturist (CPH) or equivalent professional certification (preferred). ISA Certified Arborist or related arboriculture qualification (advantageous). Experience managing government or large-scale commercial landscape maintenance projects (preferred).
