French Teacher (British & French Sections)

Job Summary The French Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality French language instruction to students in both the British and French Sections. The successful candidate will foster a positive and engaging learning environment, promote students' language proficiency and cultural understanding, and support their academic development through effective teaching, assessment, and collaboration with colleagues and parents. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging French language lessons for students in the British and French Sections. Create an inclusive, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active learning. Assess, monitor, and evaluate student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback. Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students. Promote French language skills, cultural awareness, and confidence in communication. Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and assessment data. Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and school initiatives. Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic progress and well-being. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, school events, and extracurricular activities. Integrate educational technology and innovative teaching practices into classroom instruction. Ensure compliance with school policies, safeguarding procedures, and professional standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in French, French Education, or a related field. Teaching qualification or valid teaching licence preferred. Previous experience teaching French, preferably in an international school. Excellent communication skills in French and English. Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment. Passion for language education and student development. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching the Cambridge, British, French National Curriculum, or other international curricula. Native or near-native proficiency in French. Commitment to continuous professional development.
