GENERAL PURPOSE To actively pursue new accounts, generate new business, effectively manage current accounts which include fostering account relationships and grow region at agreed levels. Ability to lead, manage, and follow sales cycle from beginning to end is absolutely necessary. DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, Asia Pacific. Sales of Legrand AV Commercial brands of products throughout APAC, detail countries and regions in Asia will be assigned according to business need and candidate’s experience. Creating & closing opportunities within existing & new geographical areas. Account management of existing distributors & responsibility for forging relationships with new distributors within the region. Management & business development through direct account sales. Staying on top of all Asia Pacific markets to evaluate trends and sales patterns within the Pro AV market. Relationship, brand development and product awareness building with Consultants across the region. Overseeing & working with the sales order team to ensure correct & effective handling of customer purchases. Effectively communicating between USA and Hong Kong to manage day to day customer requirements. Supporting the product and purchasing team for stock forecasts of new products. Working with the Director of Sales, Asia Pacific to plan yearly sales budgets and targets. Representing the company at trade shows, trade association meetings to promote products and build brand. JOB REQUIREMENTS Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written) in English and Mandarin. Communications skill in 2nd Asian languages is preferred Knowledge of various social media marketing communications channels in Asia regions is preferred Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills Proficient in the use of personal computers, internet and MS Office suite of software including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook (or related e-mail system) Proven ability and track record within sales roles is a must as is the ability to understand and practice value added selling Proven ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form Excellent project management and planning skills, while providing high attention to detail Proven ability to work independently and as a member of a team Proven ability to make sound decisions within established guidelines Must be able to function in a deadline environment Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law Ability to demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and to appropriately prioritize workload based upon organization or department needs Be detail-oriented and have excellent follow-through skills Must possess high degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information Minimum Qualifications and Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Management / Engineering / Information Technology or related major and above five (5) years distributor and dealer sales experience; or combination of relevant and experience Special Job Requirements: Must be available for long, varied work hours at times Preferred Qualifications: Experience with distributor and/or direct Pro AV and IT Channel sales Knowledge of the Asia Pacific Pro AV industry Current or previous experience of selling Pro AV solutions is a huge plus Experience using SalesForce.com CRM tool and SAP is a plus
