Our client designs and develops advanced high-speed electronic test and measurement solutions for semiconductor and datacom applications. They focus on enabling accurate characterization and validation of next-generation devices and systems through innovative instrumentation and test architectures. They are now seeking a Hardware Engineering Manager to lead the design and development of advanced multi-channel BERT systems and transceiver validation platforms operating at 224G / 448G and beyond. This role combines deep technical leadership with team management, driving architecture, execution, and delivery of complex high-speed instrumentation. What You’ll Do Technical Leadership Lead the hardware architecture and design of high-speed test platforms (BERT, PPG, clocking, and acquisition systems) Define system-level design for PAM4 signal generation and analysis, high-speed SerDes interfaces, and precision clocking Drive signal integrity strategy including channel modeling, equalization (FFE/CTLE/DFE), and jitter analysis Own hardware trade-offs across performance, cost (COGS), and scalability Team Management & Execution Build and lead a high-performance hardware engineering team Manage design reviews, development milestones, and resource allocation Mentor engineers across RF, mixed-signal, and PCB design disciplines Establish engineering processes and best practices Product Development Drive development from concept to production Collaborate with FPGA, software, and manufacturing teams Ensure designs are optimized for ATE integration and scalability Customer & Ecosystem Engagement Interface with Tier-1 customers (semiconductor, optics, hyperscalers) Support technical discussions on transceiver validation and compliance testing Collaborate with OEM and ecosystem partners Represent RFOptix at DesignCon, OFC, and ECOC Why Would You Join?
