Job Purpose: Responsible for driving the core objectives of the Quality Assurance department while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency. This role focuses on continuous improvement and process control within a high-precision mechanical manufacturing environment. Roles and Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Recruit, build, and maintain a high-caliber technical team tailored to operational demands. Departmental Oversight: Lead and direct the Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE), Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA), and Outgoing Quality Assurance (OQA) teams to ensure all departmental KPIs are consistently met. Supplier Quality Development: Drive robust supplier quality management initiatives, ensuring external partners meet strict quality standards to support internal operational goals. Talent Development: Mentor, motivate, and challenge QA team members to reach their full potential, utilizing both formal performance reviews and informal feedback channels. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate and facilitate smooth communication and alignment between the Quality Assurance department and all other manufacturing and operational business units. System & Process Optimization: Evaluate the performance and impact of the Quality System, Quality Engineering, and Incoming Quality workflows. Provide strategic coaching and support to drive continuous improvements in the process control system. Client Relations: Partner closely with Program Managers to maintain an active, reliable front-facing role with customers regarding quality assurance requirements. Compliance & Audits: Oversee periodic Internal Quality Audits to rigorously measure and enhance the efficiency of the quality function. Training Management: Identify skills gaps and schedule targeted training programs or professional seminars for all Quality Assurance staff. Management Representation: Act as the organization's Quality Management Representative (QMR) to ensure strict adherence and compliance to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum 8–10 years of dedicated experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong background in Mechanical QA within Precision Engineering, complex mechanical assembly, or manufacturing environments. Proven track record of successfully managing customer, third-party certification, and supplier audits. Advanced problem-solving capabilities and strong analytical thinking skills. Exceptional leadership, people management, and cross-functional team motivation abilities. Demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring, and team development. Results-driven professional with a firm commitment to continuous improvement principles. Strong organizational, planning, and project management expertise. Ability to perform effectively under high-pressure conditions and manage shifting priorities. Professional command of both written and spoken English.
