About the role As the Payroll Officer at Wilson Transformer Company , you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services across the business. Working as part of the People & Culture team, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, maintaining payroll and employee records, ensuring compliance with legislative and company requirements, and providing exceptional support to employees and leaders on payroll-related matters. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, HRIS administration, reporting, and business analytics that support informed decision-making across the organisation. Experience implementing and maintaining a Payroll/HRIS system (ADP & Elmo) would be highly desirable. Key responsibilities include: Process timely and accurate weekly and monthly end to end payroll Validate payroll inputs, timesheets, allowances, deductions, terminations, adjustments and leave transactions Reconcile payroll reports and investigate discrepancies Process Month End payments and processes Responsible for year-end activities as directed by Financial Controller eg payment summaries and reconciliations Maintain superannuation fund information and supporting clearing house processes to ensure contributions are processed in line with legislative requirements Accurate & timely reporting and analytics – weekly/monthly/quarterly/annually Workers Compensation payments and adjustments Maintain payroll and employee records Process employee commencements, transfers, promotions and terminations Support HRIS maintenance, testing and system improvements Maintain data integrity and confidentiality What we're looking for Minimum 3-5 years of demonstrated payroll experience ideally gained in a manufacturing or industrial environment Experience with ADP Payforce or similar payroll platform. Experience with Manufacturing and Clerical award interpretation Advanced MS Excel skills The ability to work to autonomously and employ problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels Excellent administrative skillset with high attention to detail A dynamic individual who is willing to dive in and support the business with enthusiasm and dedication.
