The Corporate Financial Accountant is pivotal in driving financial transparency, executing robust group consolidation, and delivering accurate financial accounting to support strategic decision-making. The role ensures accurate, compliant, and timely reporting of financial results of the organization. The role requires but is not limited to: Serves as a contributor to financial consolidation, month-end close cycles, and accounting compliance. Supports decision-making through clear, data-driven analysis of company financials and operational trends. Enhances financial transparency by developing and maintaining robust reporting frameworks. Monitors and interprets financial performance indicators, including profitability, cash flow, and working capital. Identifies cost drivers and efficiency opportunities to support operations expenses management. Drive efficient and effective financial reporting system to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results. Key Responsibilities and Tasks: · Consolidation & Accounting: Execute month-end close processes and consolidate regional financial data (budgets, actuals, and income statement forecasts) in alignment with company goals and accounting standards. Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and provisions to ensure accurate financial representation. Reconcile intercompany transactions and ledger data by verifying and correcting discrepancies; provide support in operational data maintenance. · Financial Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyse actual financial performance against budgets and rolling forecasts, tracking financial status by isolating key variances. Prepare consolidated management reports, variance narratives, and comprehensive account reconciliations. Maintain business performance tracker and publish scorecards to help driving business performance. · Regional Financial Consolidation: Support the consolidation process using Oracle FCC (Financial Consolidation & Close). Review country submissions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with group reporting requirements. Perform detailed balance sheet and P&L reviews, including variance analysis and analytical review. Ensure correct application of IFRS, including IFRS 16 lease accounting to enable reporting of results in pre-IFRS16 and Post-IFRS16 requirements. Assist in preparing consolidation journals and adjustments. Guide and train country finance teams on FCC submission procedures and reporting standards. · Intercompany and Balance Sheet Control: Review and reconcile intercompany balances across all entities. Follow up with country teams to resolve discrepancies promptly. Support Finance Manager in maintaining strong balance sheet integrity across the Group. · Statutory Reporting and Compliance : Assist in reviewing statutory accounts of the GF subsidiary entities. Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and group accounting policies. Support the preparation of regulatory filings where required. Maintain centralized tracker to monitor audit status, fees and Associates’ financial statement submission and dividends payments status. Qualification Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field with professional qualifications is preferred. 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting, group consolidation, or corporate financial planning and analysis. Strong knowledge of financial forecasting, accounting principles, consolidation methodologies, and corporate finance. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify key trends and opportunities. Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders. Self‑motivated, energetic, and able to work independently and collaboratively. Good communication of both spoken and written Cantonese and English, Mandarin is a plus.
