About the role To assemble cabinetry and joinery components accurately and efficiently by assembling pre-cut panels/parts, following work instructions and simple assembly procedures, and completing hardware installation tasks under direction. This role focuses on supporting production output while maintaining quality and safety standards. Key responsibilities Assemble cabinet components (carcasses, doors, drawers, panels) from pre-cut/ready-to-assemble parts Connect parts using approved methods (e.g., screws, brackets, dowels, cam lock systems—where applicable) as instructed Assemble drawers and internal components according to the provided instructions/work steps Install basic hardware tasks as required (e.g., handles, shelf supports, drawer runners, hinges) following checklists and guidance Prepare materials/components prior to assembly (e.g., sorting parts, confirming quantities, matching hardware) Keep the work area clean, organised, and free of hazards Perform basic inspections of assembled cabinets to ensure parts are fitted correctly and hardware is installed properly Identify and report any damaged parts, missing components, or quality issues to the Floor Manager or supervisor Safely operate hand tools and basic power tools as required (within training/competency) Report hazards, incidents, near misses, and injuries promptly About you Experience in general assembly, warehousing, factory work, or furniture/joinery support roles (or willingness to learn quickly) Ability to follow work instructions and simple production paperwork/checklists Comfortable using common hand tools (and power tools if trained) Attention to detail and a careful work approach Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Willing to learn and take feedback on assembly quality Reliable, punctual, and consistent Team-focused and communicates issues promptly Safety-conscious and careful with materials/tools About us Complete Joinery Ltd operates a workshop/cabinetry manufacturing environment at 42 Richard Pearse Drive, Māngere, Auckland 2022.
