About the Role We are looking for a dynamic and business-oriented Department Manager - Wholesale Area HR to lead the people agenda across an assigned Wholesale region. This role serves as the strategic HR partner to Operational Leaders and Store Management teams, ensuring the organization has the right people, capabilities, and HR support to drive operational excellence and sustainable business growth. As the regional HR leader, you will oversee the integration of key HR functions including HR Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Employee Relations, Payroll & Shared Services, and HR Analytics, ensuring consistent and high-quality HR support across multiple locations. Key Responsibilities Strategic HR Business Partnering Act as the primary HR leader for the assigned Wholesale area, aligning people strategies with business objectives and operational priorities. Partner closely with Regional Management and Store Leaders to address workforce challenges, organizational effectiveness, and talent needs. Develop and execute HR action plans covering workforce planning, recruitment, retention, employee engagement, capability development, and productivity improvement. Provide strategic HR advice and recommendations to support business performance and growth. Regional HR Leadership & Governance Lead and coordinate HR service delivery across the assigned area to ensure consistent execution and service standards. Drive collaboration among HR functions to deliver integrated and effective people solutions. Monitor HR priorities, KPI achievement, and operational effectiveness across multiple locations. Ensure compliance with company policies, labor regulations, and HR governance standards. Workforce Performance & People Analytics Monitor and analyze key workforce metrics, including headcount, vacancies, turnover, absenteeism, overtime, employee engagement, training effectiveness, and payroll service performance. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through HR data and translate insights into actionable improvement plans. Lead workforce reviews and support business leaders in making data-driven people decisions. Resolve recurring workforce challenges through sustainable and preventive solutions. Change Management & HR Transformation Drive HR transformation initiatives and support organizational change across the Wholesale business. Promote a proactive, customer-focused, and data-driven HR culture. Develop and coach HR team members to strengthen business partnering, leadership capability, and functional expertise. Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Political Science, Law, Industrial Relations, or related fields. Minimum 5 years of progressive HR leadership experience , preferably in retail, wholesale, logistics, distribution, FMCG, or other multi-site operations. Proven experience in HR Business Partnering, Regional HR Management, HR Transformation, Shared Services, or leading multiple HR functions. Strong knowledge of workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, learning & development, payroll operations, HR analytics, and labor law compliance. Strong business acumen with the ability to link people strategies to operational performance and business growth. Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, coaching, communication, and change management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with experience leveraging HR data for decision-making. Able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders across a geographically dispersed workforce. Willing to travel within the assigned area as required.
