Product Development Design & Innovation Manager

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and innovative Product Development Design Manager to lead the design and development of premium golf bags, related golf accessories and lifestyle bags. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the complete product development process, from concept creation and design execution to prototyping, material sourcing, testing, and mass production. This role requires strong product design expertise, project management skills, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams and global customers. Product Design & Development Lead the design and development of golf bags and lifestyle bags and related accessories. Create innovative product concepts that align with customer requirements, market trends, and brand positioning. Develop product specifications, technical drawings, mock-ups, and prototypes. Ensure products meet functionality, quality, durability, production efficiency and aesthetic standards. Project Management Manage multiple development projects simultaneously from concept through commercialization. Establish development timelines and ensure projects are completed on schedule. Coordinate product reviews, design revisions, and approval processes. Customer Collaboration Work closely with international customers and brands to understand design requirements and product expectations. Present design proposals, prototypes, and development updates to customers. Convert customer concepts into manufacturable products. Material & Manufacturing Development Research and evaluate new materials, components, and manufacturing technologies. Collaborate with suppliers to source innovative fabrics, trims, hardware, and sustainable materials. Optimize product construction for quality, cost efficiency, and manufacturability. Team Leadership Lead and mentor a team of designers, product developers, and sample makers. Foster creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement within the development team. Support employee training and performance development. Quality & Compliance Ensure products comply with customer specifications and industry quality standards. Participate in product testing, validation, and production troubleshooting. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product performance and manufacturing processes. Qualifications: Education Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Fashion Design, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. Experience Minimum 5-8 years of experience in product design and development. At least 5 years of management or leadership experience. Experience in sports bags, lifestyle, outdoor products, or shoes, toy, cut sewn products is highly preferred. Experience working with international brands and OEM/ODM business models is an advantage. Technical Skills Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and related design software. Experience with 3D design software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360, or equivalent is preferred. Strong understanding of sewing construction, materials, tooling, and manufacturing processes. Ability to create technical packages and product specifications. Soft Skills Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized. Language Requirements Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Additional language skills are a plus. Preferred Qualifications Strong understanding of golf industry trends and golfer preferences. Knowledge of sustainable materials and environmentally responsible product development. Experience working with manufacturing facilities in Asia.
