HR Generalist

Working alongside our Global HR Manager based in Australia, you'll play a key role in building our local HR function while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day delivery of HR. This isn't a role where you'll simply oversee processes—you'll be rolling up your sleeves and getting involved in everything from recruitment and onboarding through to payroll, HR administration, compliance, employee relations and implementing our global HRIS platform, Rippling. About the Role This is a true generalist position where you'll balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Working closely with the Global HR Manager, Finance team and local leadership, you'll support every stage of the employee lifecycle while helping establish scalable HR processes for our growing Philippines business. You'll be equally comfortable interviewing candidates, preparing employment contracts, onboarding new employees, supporting payroll, maintaining employee records in Rippling, coaching managers, managing employee relations matters and continuously improving the way we work. Key Responsibilities Partner with the Global HR Manager to establish and grow the Philippines HR function. Provide practical, day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees. Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, probation, performance management and offboarding. Lead end-to-end recruitment, partnering with hiring managers and external recruitment partners to attract and hire exceptional talent. Own the Philippines payroll process, working closely with the Finance team to ensure payroll is processed accurately, compliantly and on time. Administer and continuously improve our global HRIS platform (Rippling), maintaining employee records, workflows and reporting. Prepare employment contracts, employee documentation and maintain personnel records. Ensure compliance with Philippine labour legislation, government reporting and statutory employment obligations. Support employee remuneration, benefits administration and HR reporting. Coach and support managers on employee relations, performance management and people leadership. Coordinate learning and development initiatives and support employee engagement activities. Identify opportunities to improve HR processes through automation, technology and continuous improvement. Assist with workforce planning and organisational growth initiatives. Support regional HR projects across our international business as required. About You You're someone who enjoys getting involved in every aspect of HR and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves. You'll bring: 3-5+ years' experience in a broad HR Generalist role. Strong knowledge of Philippine employment legislation and HR best practice. Experience managing or coordinating payroll in partnership with Finance or an external payroll provider. Experience working with an HRIS platform, with Rippling experience highly regarded. Strong recruitment and talent acquisition experience. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. High attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills. Confidence working independently while collaborating with global teams across multiple time zones. A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to build processes while delivering day-to-day HR support. A solutions-focused mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, growing business. Experience working in a startup, scale-up or high-growth environment will be highly regarded. A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline. Why Join Us?
