Assistant Manager, Strategy & international Partnerships

1) Strategic Planning Support the development of whole-of-organisation strategies to achieve organisational goals. Perform local and international industry scans and analysis, benchmarking and comparative analysis to identify areas that may have impact SAM or the visual arts ecosystem. Work closely with teams to develop departmental workplans and KPIs as part of the annual budget exercise, which includes collecting and monitoring corporate KPIs. Manage relationship with strategic partners including MCCY, NAC and other relevant government agencies. Assist in any other strategic development initiatives. 2) International Partnerships Work with curatorial and programming teams to support collaborations between SAM and its international partners, including traveling exhibitions, partnership agreement negotiations and programming support as needed. Plan and host visits by visiting foreign dignitaries (e.g. ambassadors, political appointment holders, heads of states), and exchanges with colleagues of overseas museums. Liaise with relevant Singapore agencies and ministries on international relations and cultural diplomacy initiatives. Manage SAM's membership in international organisations (e.g. ICOM, CIMAM). Qualifications Possess excellent written skills, with the ability to prepare analysis, assessments and presentations in a clear and concise manner Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage and coordinate workstreams to secure aligned outcomes effectively across teams Highly organised with attention to detail Availability to undertake overseas work trips when needed Resourceful and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously 3-5 years of relevant experience in the arts, government, strategy, planning or other related fields Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to exercise cultural sensitivity and convey complex ideas in a clear and persuasive manner
