Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Target Achievement Develop and execute the regional sales plan for General Trade covering all provinces in the Southern territory. Set and cascade sales targets to Area Sales Managers/Supervisors; monitor achievement against volume, value, and distribution KPIs. Analyze regional sales performance and market trends to identify growth opportunities and underperforming areas. Distributor & Route-to-Market Management Manage relationships with regional distributors: negotiate terms, monitor stock levels, and resolve credit/claim issues. Oversee route-to-market coverage and van sales/pre-sales operations to maximize numeric and weighted distribution. Evaluate distributor performance and recommend appointment, renewal, or termination decisions. Team Leadership & Field Management Lead, coach, and evaluate Area Sales Managers, Sales Supervisors, and field sales representatives across the region. Plan and conduct regular market visits (joint field work) following a pre-set trip schedule to review execution at store level. Manage regional manpower planning, recruitment coordination, and performance management for the sales team. Trade Execution & Market Intelligence Coordinate with Trade Marketing to execute promotions, merchandising standards, and new product launches at the regional level. Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market share in the Southern region; report insights to Sales Director. Ensure compliance with company trade terms and pricing policy across all General Trade outlets. Qualifications and Skills Education Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Experience 8-12 years in FMCG sales, including [e.g., 3-5 years] in a regional/area management role covering General Trade, with willingness and track record for extensive field travel. Technical Skills Distributor management, route-to-market planning, sales data analysis (Excel), team leadership across multi-province territory. Preferred Prior experience covering the Southern region specifically; valid driver's license. Trip-based schedule — routes and days off planned and communicated in advance; not a fixed 5-day or 6-day office/plant schedule.
