Finance Officer

The Collective is seeking an experienced and detail-focused Bookkeeper to join our Corporate Services team and support the financial operations of our growing group of businesses. Working closely with the Financial Controller, this role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting functions, supporting payroll processes, and ensuring strong financial controls and reporting practices. What you will be doing Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger functions. Preparing financial reports, reconciliations and supporting month-end processes. Processing payroll, including wages, commissions and employee payments. Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting compliance requirements. Assisting with audit preparation and financial documentation. Onboard and offboard employees accurately. Providing insights and support to improve financial processes and systems. What you bring Minimum certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting. Degree or higher highly desirable but not essential. 2+ years' experience in bookkeeping, accounting or a similar finance role. Strong understanding of accounts, payroll and financial reporting processes. High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills. Confidence using Xero, accounting software and Microsoft Excel Ability to manage deadlines and work independently. Professional, discreet and solutions-focused approach. Experience in real estate or a sales-based environment is advantageous.
