Class 4 Driver

Class 4 Driver Tradestaff Dunedin is recruiting an experienced Class 4 Driver to join a leading local drainage contractor in Dunedin. As a Class 4 Driver, you'll play a key role in supporting their active drainage department, operating heavy transport vehicles, and assisting the crew with daily operations to ensure safe and efficient project delivery. Location: Dunedin Start date: Immediate start Pay rate: $32–$38 per hour, experience dependent What You'll Be Doing Safely operate Class 4 vehicles on residential and commercial worksites Complete daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance requirements Transport equipment and materials between sites Support the drainage crew with general site duties when required Follow all health and safety, environmental, and road transport requirements Represent the company professionally on client sites What You'll Need Current New Zealand Class 4 Licence Proven experience driving heavy transport vehicles Confident operating both manual and automatic trucks, including Road Ranger and multi-speed manual gearboxes Excavator experience or a Wheels (W) Endorsement is highly advantageous Drainage, civil, or infrastructure experience is preferred but not essential Strong commitment to health and safety Reliable, motivated, and a team player with a positive attitude Good communication skills What's In It For You?
