HVAC / Air Conditioning Service Technician – Wellington Kinetic Recruitment We are on the hunt for an experienced Service Technician to join a leading HVAC service and maintenance team in Wellington. This is a key field role providing high-quality repairs, servicing, maintenance, installation, and commissioning of commercial and light commercial HVAC equipment across the Wellington region. What you’ll earn $40 – $50 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications) 40 hours per week Overtime opportunities On-call roster with attractive allowance Key Responsibilities Deliver prompt, professional repairs, servicing, maintenance, installation, and commissioning of commercial HVAC systems to the highest standards. Provide excellent customer service, including direct negotiation and problem resolution with clients. Complete accurate job documentation, update service records, and maintain service vehicle and tools to company standards. Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures. Work collaboratively with the service team and report to the Regional Service Manager / Service Supervisor. Essential Requirements Trade qualified (NZQA accredited HVAC/Refrigeration qualification) ‘D’ Permit Electrical License and CFC License (Refrigerant Handling) Minimum 5 years field experience as an Air Conditioning / HVAC Service Technician Current full New Zealand driver’s licence Permanent work rights in New Zealand (no visa sponsorship) Strong troubleshooting skills on commercial HVAC units Excellent customer service and communication skills Advantageous EST registration or additional electrical qualifications Experience with large commercial systems Supervisory or leadership experience If you are a reliable, safety-conscious, and customer-focused technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, we want to hear from you.
