IT Business Analyst (ITBA) 2-year contract

Duties Business Requirements & Process Analysis Engage business users, department heads, and operational teams to understand business objectives, pain points, process gaps, and improvement opportunities. Conduct requirement gathering sessions, workshops, interviews, and process walkthroughs with stakeholders. Analyse existing business processes and document current-state and future-state workflows. Translate business needs into clear business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual work, improve data accuracy, and enhance operational efficiency. Ensure business requirements are complete, practical, traceable, and aligned with company policies and operational priorities. System Change Request & Project Support Support the preparation, clarification, and assessment of IT system change requests. Assist business departments in documenting business justifications, expected benefits, operational impacts, and priority of requested changes. Work with IT Application Manager, Systems Analysts, vendors, and users to define solution scope, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, and implementation approach. Support effort estimation, impact assessment, risk identification, and project planning activities. Track requirement changes and ensure proper approval, documentation, and communication throughout the project lifecycle. Support implementation activities including feasibility study, design review, testing, rollout, and post-implementation review. Solution Evaluation & Functional Design Support Work with technical teams and vendors to review proposed solutions against business requirements. Validate whether proposed system functions, workflows, reports, interfaces, and controls meet user needs. Support functional design discussions and ensure key business scenarios are properly covered. Assist in evaluating digital, automation, reporting, workflow, ERP, cargo system, and operational technology solutions. Identify potential process, control, compliance, security, and user adoption risks in proposed solutions. Recommend practical improvements to enhance usability, efficiency, reliability, and business value. User Acceptance Testing & Quality Assurance Prepare UAT plans, test scenarios, test scripts, expected results, and acceptance criteria. Coordinate UAT activities with user departments, IT teams, and vendors. Support users during testing and clarify business rules, process flows, and system behaviours. Log, classify, monitor, and follow up defects or issues identified during UAT. Verify defect resolution and ensure results meet approved business requirements. Obtain user confirmation and acceptance before production rollout where applicable. Application Support & Business Liaison Provide functional support and coordinate with IT technical teams for issue investigation and resolution. Analyse recurring application issues and recommend corrective or preventive improvements. Liaise with internal departments, airlines, business partners, vendors, and other external parties on application-related business matters where required. Support service improvement by identifying common user issues, training needs, workflow inefficiencies, and reporting gaps. Assist in preparing management updates on project status, system issues, service performance, risks, and improvement actions. Documentation & Knowledge Management Prepare and maintain business requirement documents, functional specifications, process flows, user guides, training materials, test records, meeting notes, and project documentation. Maintain proper documentation libraries for assigned systems and business processes. Ensure documentation is accurate, up to date, and available for operational support, audit, compliance, and knowledge transfer. Support the maintenance of system knowledge base, frequently asked questions, and standard operating procedures. Assist in documenting system configuration, role/function requirements, and business control requirements where applicable. Digital Transformation & Continuous Improvement Support digital transformation initiatives by identifying business use cases suitable for automation, analytics, AI, workflow digitalization, or system integration. Assist in evaluating business benefits, operational feasibility, and change impact of digital initiatives. Work with the Digital Transformation team to convert operational needs into structured digital solution requirements. Support pilot trials, proof-of-concept activities, user feedback collection, and benefit tracking. Promote continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and user adoption of new digital tools. Help establish measurable outcomes, KPIs, and post-implementation benefits tracking for key initiatives. Stakeholder & Change Management Build trusted working relationships with business users, IT teams, vendors, and management. Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Facilitate alignment between business expectations and technical delivery. Support user training, communication, and change adoption activities. Prepare presentation materials, user briefings, and operational readiness updates. Manage stakeholder expectations and escalate issues, risks, or conflicts in a timely manner. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related discipline Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in IT business analysis, systems analysis, application delivery, process improvement, or digital transformation Experience supporting audit, compliance, cybersecurity, data privacy, or access control requirements is preferred Agile Business Analyst certification, PMP / PRINCE2 Foundation, Agile / Scrum certification ITIL Foundation, ISO/IEC 27001 awareness or foundation-level certification Power BI / Power Platform certification, Data analytics, process automation, or cloud-related certifications Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Clear communication with business and technical stakeholders Strong documentation and presentation skills Detail-oriented, structured, and process-driven mindset Good business sense and ability to understand operational priorities Service-oriented attitude with strong ownership and accountability Ability to manage multiple tasks, users, vendors, and deadlines Able to work independently and escalate risks appropriately Comfortable working under pressure during project delivery, production issues, or urgent business requests Collaborative mindset and ability to influence users toward practical, controlled, and sustainable solutions We offer the right incumbent attractive remuneration package including 5-day week, medical scheme and travel allowance.
