Accounting Manager (Restaurant)

Job Purpose Oversee and manage the company's overall accounting and financial systems. Lead the accounting team to work efficiently, ensuring accurate and timely month-end financial closings for all branches, alongside developing automated workflows. Act as a Strategic Business Partner with the Operations team to analyze Food Cost and profitability, driving the organization's growth strategy. - Note: Please note that the interview process for this position will be conducted in English. - Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Reporting & Month-end Closing Oversee and manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including AP, AR, GL, Fixed Assets, and inventory control. Control and review the month-end closing process for all branches, ensuring completion within the agreed SLA. Prepare Profit & Loss (P&L) reports by branch and consolidated corporate statements, along with Budget vs. Actual variance analysis. Perform Bank Reconciliation and verify sales data from POS systems and delivery channels. 2. Cost Accounting & Inventory Control Audit and analyze Food & Beverage Cost to identify waste or variances from the Standard Yield. Collaborate with the Operations team for monthly inventory reconciliation and establish cost optimization guidelines. 3. Compliance & Tax Planning Oversee the preparation and timely submission of all statutory tax filings (e.g., VAT, Withholding Tax, Corporate Income Tax - P.N.D. 1, 3, 53, 50, 51) to the Revenue Department. Formulate legitimate Corporate Tax Planning strategies and provide recommendations to optimize the company's tax position and manage costs effectively. Serve as the primary point of contact for External Auditors and government agencies, and sign as the certified Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accountant for the company. 4. Team Leadership & Internal Control Lead, manage, mentor, and coach the accounting team to enhance productivity and support their professional growth. Establish and maintain robust Internal Control policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks and prevent fraud across all branches. Develop clear and traceable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the accounting department. 5. Process Automation & Business Partnering Design and implement Process Automation for accounting workflows using advanced data management tools to reduce manual and repetitive tasks. Analyze store-level EBITDA profitability and present actionable insights to the management team to support business decisions. Job Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance (Accounting degree is strongly preferred). Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting and finance supervisor role from restaurant background, F&B industry, or retail business. Certification: Registration as a CPD holder is highly preferred (CPA is a major plus). Technical Skills: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in people management. Experience in the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry or multi-branch business operations is highly preferred. Advanced proficiency in Spreadsheets (Excel / Google Sheets) with a strong mindset geared towards Process Improvement. Hold a valid CPD (Continuing Professional Development) accountant license. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into easily understandable terms for the operations team.
