Assistant Application Manager (SAP FICO Lead - S/4HANA)

We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO professional to join us as an Assistant Application Manager , playing a key role in our regional S/4HANA transformation . This role combines project leadership (80%) and AMS governance (20%) , ensuring high-quality delivery from external vendors and alignment with business and audit requirements. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: S/4HANA Upgrade (80%) Lead SAP FICO workstream across multiple countries. Review and validate solution designs from external system integrators. Ensure alignment with SAP best practices, business needs, and compliance standards. Oversee configuration, integration, data migration, and testing approach. Act as gatekeeper for solution quality and project deliverables. AMS Governance (20%) Serve as Assistant Application Manager supporting SAP AMS. Act as a value-added business partner to business users, providing advisory on system capabilities and process improvements. Perform quality assurance on vendor deliverables (e.g. solution design, unit testing outcomes, deployment procedures, and documentation). Drive quality, compliance, and continuous improvements. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must have at least 8 years of SAP experience with strong focus on FICO, and with proven experience in S/4HANA implementation or upgrade projects. Preferably candidate with experience in MNC environment. Broader SAP functional knowledge beyond FICO will be an added advantage. Strong expertise in Financial Accounting (GL, AP, AR, AA, etc) and Controlling (Cost Center, Profit Center, COPA, etc). Strong cross-functional knowledge of MM, SD, and other SAP modules with integration awareness. Comfortable in moving from hands-on configuration to solution review & governance. Strong analytical and review skills, detailed-oriented mindset with attention to quality and audit compliance. Ability to challenge, validate, and approve solutions independently, including the ability to challenge external vendors constructively. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Strong governance and quality control focus. Willingness to travel across the region.
