Systems Specialist (Linux, AIX UNIX, Government Infrastructure Support)

Location: Quarry Bay Nature: Renewable Contract (1 year) Job Title: Systems Specialist (Linux, AIX UNIX, Government Infrastructure Support) Responsibilities • Provide day-to-day operational support for government IT infrastructure and mission-critical systems. • Monitor Linux, AIX UNIX, and Windows environments to ensure system availability, stability, and performance. • Perform daily system health checks, backup verification, and operational maintenance activities. • Deploy system patches and support scheduled maintenance and change implementation. • Handle incident logging, issue escalation, and service request coordination. • Generate operational reports and maintain system documentation. • Support routine system administration activities across multiple platforms. • Provide on-site and remote technical support when required. Requirements • Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience in computer operations or infrastructure support within a high-availability production environment. • Mandatory hands-on experience supporting Linux and AIX UNIX platforms. • Experience supporting Windows Server environments. • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience supporting government IT systems. • Experience supporting enterprise systems with at least 200 concurrent users. • Knowledge of Shell Script, Bash, or other scripting languages for operational support tasks. • Familiarity with system monitoring, patch management, backup operations, and incident management processes. • Experience with WebLogic administration is an advantage. • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within infrastructure and system environments. • Strong communication skills in both English and Chinese.
