Planning Manager - Global Manufacturing Leader

Company Overview Our client is a well-established electrical product manufacturer operating on a global scale. With a regional headquarters in Hong Kong, the company maintains a robust operational footprint that covers worldwide manufacturing and office locations, including facilities in China and the Americas. To support ongoing international growth and production synchronization, HR Dynamics is seeking an experienced, high-caliber Planning Manager to lead cross-border manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities * Team Leadership: Direct and mentor a team of >20 planning and operational professionals spread across plants in China and overseas. * Master Production Scheduling: Define, oversee, and optimize master planning timelines, resource allocations, and deliverable schedules across global sites. * NPI & APQP Alignment: Lead and guide the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) team from prototype stage through mass production stage to meet technical specifications and client timelines. * Cross-Departmental Coordination: Coordinate closely with Engineering, QA, Supply Chain, and Operations departments to ensure project milestones are delivered within budget and schedule. * Performance Analysis & Reporting: Establish status reporting frameworks, analyze production and planning KPIs, identify operational bottlenecks, and execute corrective action plans. * Process Enhancement: Drive continuous improvements in planning workflows, inventory optimization, and supply chain efficiency across multi-site production facilities. Requirements * Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline. * Experience: Minimum 5 years of solid experience in production planning, project management, or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment. * Industry Focus: Strong technical knowledge of electric motors—particularly within the automotive manufacturing sector—is a MUST. * Quality Standards: In-depth familiarity with IATF 16949 automotive quality management standards. * Location & Travel: Stationed in Hong Kong HQ with willingness to travel to manufacturing facilities in Mainland China and the Americas is needed. * Languages: Excellent command of written and spoken English and Fluent Mandarin. * Soft Skills: Self-driven, highly analytical, possessing strong leadership capabilities and cross-cultural communication skills. * Costing & QA: Familiarity with product costing and quality control procedures will be an advantage. * Availability: Immediate or short notice availability is preferred.
