About the role We are seeking a Sea Freight Operation Supervisor and Sea Freight Operation officer to join our team in Bangkok on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position within our sea freight operations department, where you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily freight operations, ensuring efficient cargo handling, and maintaining excellent service standards for our clients. The Sea Freight Operation Supervisor is essential to the smooth functioning of our logistics operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and the company's reputation in the freight forwarding industry. You will report to the Operations Manager and be responsible for supervising a team of operations staff whilst coordinating with multiple departments to ensure seamless freight processing and timely delivery of shipments. Key responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily sea freight operations, including booking management, documentation, and cargo tracking Oversee the loading, unloading, and movement of cargo to ensure compliance with safety and handling procedures Manage and mentor a team of operations staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback Prepare and review shipping documentation, bills of lading, customs forms, and other freight-related paperwork Liaise with port authorities, shipping lines, customs officials, and clients to facilitate smooth cargo movement Monitor shipment schedules and resolve any operational issues or delays promptly Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, customs requirements, and company policies Maintain accurate records of freight operations and generate performance reports Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and implement process improvements Handle customer inquiries and ensure service quality standards are consistently met What we're looking for 2+ years of experience in sea freight operations, freight forwarding, or cargo handling in a similar environment Proven supervisory experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations, customs procedures, and shipping documentation Proficiency in freight forwarding software and systems; experience with cargo management platforms is essential Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Thai (written and spoken), Mandarin is a plus Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving operational challenges Knowledge of port operations, shipping routes, and logistics networks in Southeast Asia Relevant certifications or qualifications in logistics, freight forwarding, or maritime operations (preferred) What we offer At Sinotrans Thai (Logistics) Co; Ltd, we are committed to providing our employees with a rewarding and supportive work environment.
