We are looking for an experienced Category Purchaser to lead global supplier and material strategy in Advanced Elastomer Technologies and manage key supplier relationships and sourcing activities in a dynamic automotive environment. What you will do: Manage key supplier relationships and act as a global supplier champion Drive sourcing activities (supplier selection, negotiations, contracts, sourcing decisions) Conduct annual price negotiations and implement cost reduction & supplier improvement programs Perform market analyses and translate insights into sourcing strategies Collaborate cross-functionally to define and implement global purchasing strategy Ensure rollout of strategy across business units worldwide Drive and support cooperation and pooling activities with external partners What makes you a best fit: Degree in economics, business, engineering or mechanical engineering Extensive experience in purchasing or customer/supplier-oriented roles (automotive preferred) Strong creativity and ability to develop new sourcing and supply chain concepts Independent, self-driven with high level of ownership Ability to challenge and find compromises Advanced MS Office skills Business-fluent English (spoken & written) Strong resilience, assertiveness and conflict resolution skills Willingness to travel (~20%) Ready to take your career to the next level?
