Evolution is the world leader in online casino entertainment, serving hundreds of operators and millions of players worldwide. Evolution Innovation is a new department, created to explore what comes next: new products, new technology, new ways of doing things - built at startup speed with the backing of a global, profitable tech company. We're a small, dedicated team building from Stockholm. Nothing here is someone else's problem: we own our products end-to-end, help each other out and have fun doing it. Meetings are rare, process is lightweight and decisions get made fast - by the people closest to the work. The pace is high because the work is interesting - we ship real products to production, not slide decks. We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help build the next generation of products at Evolution Innovation. You'll own features end-to-end - from real-time data systems to polished frontends - and help bring Go into our platform. Why Evolution Innovation? What we're looking for - You have 5+ years of experience building software professionally, with real depth in TypeScript/Node. - You're comfortable across the stack - you can build a React feature and the API behind it without waiting for someone else. - You have solid SQL and PostgreSQL skills and production experience on AWS. - Go experience is a strong plus - our platform is TypeScript today and you'll help decide where Go earns its place and build the first services in it. - You're comfortable navigating ambiguity, scoping your own work and solving problems as they arise. - You ship fast, care deeply and collaborate without ego. - You're based in the Stockholm area or ready to relocate - this is an on-site role with flexibility when life needs it. That said, this is a description, not a checklist. Skills can be taught - drive and raw ability can't - so if you've built things that prove you have both, apply even if you miss a few bullets. We'd rather teach a great engineer our stack than lose one over a missing keyword. What you'll do In one sentence: build and scale real-time data products end-to-end and shape how a brand-new platform gets engineered. - Design and ship features across the whole stack - streaming ingest, APIs, data models and the frontends that bring them to life. - Work with high-throughput, real-time data and the challenges that come with it: performance, reliability and queries that stay fast as data grows. - Help introduce Go for performance-critical services. - Own your work in production - architecture, code, deploys and everything in between. All our infrastructure is code. - Shape the platform's direction: conventions, tooling and architecture decisions are being made now, by the people writing the code. Our tech stack We pick tools because they're the right ones, not because they're the safe ones. Examples of tech in our stack include: - Frontend: React and TypeScript. - Backend:TypeScript (Node, Bun, Hono) - with Go on the way in. - Data: PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB. - Cloud: AWS (ECS, Kinesis, RDS), infrastructure defined in CDK. And always on the lookout for what's next. Our benefits are Competitive pension, health and medical insurance 30 paid vacation days Fitness benefit (Friskvårdsbidrag) Professional growth Sport activities, parties, team buildings This is a 100% on-site position. Based in Stockholm, Sweden. About your application -Please submit your application in English - it's our working language. - Send your CV or LinkedIn profile; a GitHub link or a note about something you've built is even better. - We keep the process tight: intro chat, technical deep-dive with the team, meet the department head. No take-home busywork.

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
