Playtech's Bingo unit is looking for a QA Engineer to join our Bulgarian office. You will help ensure the quality and stability of a complex Bingo platform spanning desktop and mobile web clients. This role is suited to a hands-on QA professional who can work independently, investigate issues across multiple components, and collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders from requirements through production activation. Your influential mission. You will... Analyse and clarify requirements, identify risks, and create effective test plans and test cases. Perform functional and non-functional testing of desktop and mobile web applications, client-server flows, APIs, backend services, monoliths, and microservices. Independently investigate client, server, database, configuration, and integration issues; identify likely root causes and provide clear evidence. Validate data with SQL and test HTTP APIs using tools such as Postman or curl. Search and interpret logs using Linux/SSH and observability tools such as Grafana or Kibana. Report, prioritize, track, and verify defects in JIRA; organize test coverage and reviews in TestRail. Maintain QA environments, configurations, builds, databases, and service versions; use deployment tools such as Jenkins and ArgoCD. Support sprint, regression, release, UAT, staging, production activation, and downtime-release activities. Review automation results, reuse existing automated coverage, and identify suitable scenarios for automation. Provide reliable estimates, communicate progress and risks early, and work with developers and stakeholders to meet quality and release goals. Components for success. You have... 2+ years of experience as a QA Engineer testing web or mobile applications and distributed client-server systems. Very good knowledge of testing methodologies, defect management, test design, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum practices. Good SQL skills, including queries, joins, and data validation; experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, ClickHouse, or similar databases. Hands-on API testing experience with Postman, curl, or an equivalent tool. Good Linux/Unix and server-log troubleshooting skills, including use of SSH. Understanding of monolithic and microservices architectures, component dependencies, messaging, and caching. Good written and spoken English. Experience using Cursor/ChatGPT/Claude or other AI models You'll get extra points for... If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
