As a Principal Planner, you will coordinate the planning activities of the Department of Agriculture, Parks, and Natural Resources with an emphasis on the Parks, Trails, and Open Space Division. This position involves working with both private development projects and capital improvement projects and will oversee all phases of planning and development including environmental review, permitting, subdivision conditioning, design, and construction oversight. Experience and Training Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be: Experience: Five years of increasingly responsible experience in land use planning and development. Training: Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in urban, regional or environmental planning, or a related field.
