FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN SALARY RANGE: $38,646.40 - $59,904.00 DESCRIPTION Greenville Utilities Commission is searching for an experienced facilities maintenance technician to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. This position is responsible for performing the work schedule in the maintenance and repair of GUC facilities. Duties include, but are not limited to, working in maintenance and repairs in the areas of: Carpentry, Masonry, Roofing, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC Mechanical, Access Control, and Grounds. Candidate will assist the crew leader with coordinating and inspecting the work of outside contractors, execution of preventative maintenance schedules, maintaining maintenance files and performing the close-out of work requests. The individual will work as technician performing duties independently while maintaining buildings, facilities, and grounds, as well as occasionally assisting with landscaping and seasonal snow and ice removal duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: Three (3) years of facilities maintenance experience. Ability to effectively communicate with internal staff as well as the general public. Working knowledge of standard practices, tools, and equipment utilized in the building maintenance field. Graduation from an accredited high school or G.E.D. is required. North Carolina Driver License. Normal work schedule is Monday - Thursday from 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.. Anticipated hiring range is $38,646.40 - $49,275.20, commensurate with experience. Applications for this position will be accepted until position is filled.
