General Position Summary: Lead the development, implementation, management, and evaluation of Career Pathways, Integrated Education and Training (IET), industry credential, and Community Education initiatives within Adult Education. Develop strategic partnerships with employers, community organizations, workforce partners, and postsecondary programs to create pathways that support student success, credential attainment, employment, and postsecondary transition. Serve as the primary lead, with the Director, for career pathway development, industry-recognized credential programs, employer engagement, and community education expansion. Supervisor : Director of Adult Education Physical Demands: Lift up to 25 lbs. Work Environment: Frequent interaction with staff, students, and the public; Walking, sitting, standing, stooping, and bending Starting Pay: $50,000 - $60,000, depending upon years of experience and level of education Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or as needed outside this schedule for classes, employer meetings, recruitment events, community outreach activities, special events, and student needs. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited educational institution • Three years of experience in Adult Education, workforce development, training, career services, community education, economic development, or a related field. • Experience coordinating programs, projects, partnerships, or educational initiatives. • Satisfactory background check Preferred Qualifications: • Master's Degree from a regionally accredited educational institution. • Experience developing and implementing Career Pathways or Integrated Education and Training (IET) programs. CP Specialist’s Signature: _____________________________________ Date: ______________ Revision Date: 6/23/2026 • Experience managing grants or grant-funded programs. • Experience working with employers, workforce boards, economic development organizations, or industry partners. • Five years of related professional experience. • Certified Workforce Development Professional® (CWDP) by the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals Minimum Skills: • Dependable and punctual. • Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills. • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. • Ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships. • Ability to maintain confidentiality. • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines. • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • Demonstrate proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting. Preferred Skills: • Experience with student information systems and reporting systems. • Experience with Canvas or other learning management systems. • Experience with labor market information and career pathway design. • Grant writing and grant management experience. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Approximate Allocation of Duties Area of Responsibility Percentage Career Pathways & IET Program Development and Oversight 35% Community Education Program Development and Management 20% Employer, Industry, and Community Partnerships 15% Student Recruitment, Transition, and Retention 10% Data Management, Reporting, and Compliance 10% Grant Support, Special Projects, and Professional Development 10% Essential Functions: • Lead the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of all Career Pathways and IET programs. • Develop and expand career pathways aligned with labor market demand and postsecondary opportunities. • Coordinate existing and future IET programs, including healthcare, construction, transportation, manufacturing, hospitality, digital literacy, financial literacy, and other workforce-aligned initiatives. • Develop and maintain relationships with employers, chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, workforce boards, and community partners. • Identify opportunities for new industry-recognized credential programs and community education offerings. • Coordinate community education courses, workshops, camps, and non-credit training opportunities. • Assist with development and implementation of employer-sponsored training and customized training opportunities. • Monitor program outcomes including measurable skill gains, industry credentials, employment outcomes, and postsecondary transitions. • Track and report all industry-based credentials and workforce-related outcomes. • Maintain compliance with Adult Education, institutional, state, and federal reporting requirements. • Assist with grant development, implementation, performance tracking, and reporting. • Develop marketing, outreach, recruitment, and promotional materials. • Represent Adult Education at community events, advisory committee meetings, employer meetings, and recruitment activities. • Provide training and technical assistance to instructors and staff regarding career pathways and IET requirements. • Assist with student recruitment, orientation, assessment, advising, and retention activities. • Complete quarterly reviews of pathway performance and partnership effectiveness. • Participate in campus activities, recruitment initiatives, and strategic planning efforts. • Demonstrate a solid commitment to the River Parishes Community College Mission. • Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Adult Education.
