An ideal candidate for this role has experience working in customer service, an office environment, and/or performing detailed work with frequent interruptions. What You’ll Do Every day brings something new. You might: Help couples obtain and register marriage licenses. Assist families with birth and death certificates. Support property owners in recording or obtaining official records. Participate in voter registration, candidate filing, and election support. Provide friendly, professional customer service both in person and over the phone. Juggle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Depending on experience, you could play a key role in both Clerk-Recorder and Elections functions. Who We’re Looking For We’re seeking someone who is: Energized by serving the public and making a difference Skilled at multitasking and staying calm under pressure A clear and courteous communicator Adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with a “can-do” attitude Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus! Education and Experience A combination of education, training, and experience resulting in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of qualifying education and experience includes: Graduation from high school or possession of a G.E.D. certificate at the time of employment. AND Either A: One year of experience performing duties comparable to an Administrative Assistant II. Or B: Three years of experience performing a wide variety of clerical and administrative assistant duties including word-processing/computer experience. Licenses and Certificates Certain positions within this classification may require driving. When driving is an essential function of the position, a valid CALIFORNIA driver's license will be required at the time of appointment.
