Recreation Associate Jo bs: Counselor: After School Program (15+) Lead Counselor: After School Program (18+) Counselor No-School Day Camps (15+) Lead Counselor No-School Day Camps (18+) Attendant: Facility Attendant (15+) Attendant: Drop-in Attendant (15+) Attendant: Event Hosts (15+) Customer Service Representative (18+) Parks Activities Specialist Jo bs: Instructor I: Assistant Instructors (15+) Instructor II: General Instructors (15+) Recreation Associate Pay: Training Pay is $20.59 for all Recreation Associate jobs Counselor, Lead Counselor, Attendant, and Customer Service Representative base pay is $20.59 - $24.03 (entry is $20.59) Lead Counselor premium pay is $22.59 - $26.03 (entry $22.59) Employees working in a Lead Counselor role shall receive a Leadership premium of $2.00 per hour while performing that body of work that requires direction and coaching of other Recreation Support Staff. Instructor I base pay is $19.61 - $22.88 (new employees start at $19.61) Instructor II base pay is $21.79 - $28.87 (new employees start at $21.79 - $25.06 based on their experience). *USA Gymnastics certified instructors are eligible for a wage step increase. Recreation Associate Union: These jobs are part of a union called (LiUNA) Labors' Local 483 - Recreation. You will start at the entry-level pay rate. We are looking for people who can work as Counselors, Attendants, Customer Service Representatives, and Instructors. Job Type: Casual, Part-time. This job posting is for several positions, which are classified by the City of Portland as either Recreation Associates or Parks Activities Specialists. Schedule: This job has flexible hours and might include working during the day, evenings, weekends, or holidays. The number of hours you work each week can change based on program needs, and there is no guarantee of work hours each week. Location: These jobs are at different Community Centers around Portland.
