PT, Midnight Custodian

Our part-time custodian position helps to keep Stark State buildings, offices and classrooms clean, sanitary and in orderly condition. In this job you will play an essential part in ensuring that students enjoy well maintained and clean facilities while they're focusing on their studies. What you do matters here! Typical Hours of Work: Typical hours scheduled are Sunday through Thursday - 11:00 p.m. - 4:00 a.m. Location: Stark State Main Campus (6200 Frank Avenue, North Canton OH) Pay: $15.09 - $19.60/hour (based on experience), plus a $0.50/hour shift differential Who We Are: The positive energy at Stark State College comes from exceptionally dedicated employees who work hard for students. Typical Responsibilities Include: Maintain building cleanliness – all aspects of cleaning including floors, windows, walls, fixtures, restrooms, ceilings, furniture, whiteboards, trash and recycling removal. Perform routine light maintenance, room set ups and moving furniture. Floor care (buffing, stripping, and waxing), as requested. Use of environmentally approved products & equipment. To be Considered You'll Need: High School Diploma or GED, a valid Ohio driver's license and have an insurable record as defined by our agency. The ability to operate cleaning equipment and the ability to frequently carry up to 25 lbs. and lift 50 lbs. Preferred Qualifications (although not required): 10 hr. OSHA Certification or ability to obtain this certification within one year of hire.
