Technician, Makerspace Lab

The Makerspace Lab Technicians will be assembling and installing the equipment, storage units, and furniture for MACCLab, the MACC makerspace. This is a temporary part-time position. Qualified candidates must have the following skills: Mechanically inclined Ability to read, interpret, and follow written instructions and manuals Ability to work with minimum supervision Ability to utilize common hand tools in a safe manner Open to learning and working with new software and equipment Ability to understand and follow safety requirements for equipment Experience with assembling items from written instructions The Lab Technician shall have the following duties and responsibilities: Maintain and support the day-to-day operations of the makerspace and its technologies; Maintain the lab software and hardware, ensuring they are clean, safe and ready for operation; Perform equipment maintenance when appropriate and alert the Makerspace Coordinator if the need for a specific service call arises; Coordinate with computer services when necessary.
