Advanced Manufacturing & Design - Associate Faculty Pool

The Opportunity: Skagit Valley College is accepting applications for associate faculty to teach for the Professional Technical Department for th e 2026/2027 academic year . The purpose of posting this position is to build a pool of qualified instructors interested in teaching Advanced Manufacturing and Design classes. This Associate Faculty position will instruct students seeking their associate's or bachelor's degree in Advanced Manufacturing and Design. Associate Faculty are essential to developing and delivering curriculum tailored to each course’s specific needs. The program covers a wide range of topics, from hands-on technical training to management and leadership in manufacturing, using diverse instructional methods such as in-person classes and online asynchronous learning. The program spans industries such as sporting goods, agriculture, aerospace, and more. As an Associate Faculty member, you will collaborate with department colleagues to create and implement innovative curriculum designed to prepare students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the manufacturing industry. Topics include, but are not limited to: Woodworking Injection Molding Product Development CNC Machining (wood, metals, plastics, etc.) Composites Mold Making and Design for various production methods Industrial Automation, Robotics, and Mechatronics Supply Chain Management Operations Management Project Management Material Testing
