Job Title: SR. Account Technician Job Vacancy #: RSIC 048-22 Department: Finance Job Status: Full-time; Non-Exempt Salary: Up to $25.64 Per Hour DOE Opening date: 03/30/2022 Closing date: Open until filled Position Summary: This position is responsible for performing reconciliation and accounting work under the direction of the Accounting Supervisor, and for performing budget monitoring, filing, and administration duties which assist the Contracts & Grants Manager Duties and Responsibilities: Reconciles assigned balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis including all accruals and liability accounts related to the General Ledger, P/R, A/R, and A/P; Posts information in the computerized financial system and ensures its accuracy; Performs job related duties as assigned by the Accounting Supervisor; Assists Contracts & Grants Manager with the following duties: maintaining and tracking monthly reports to ensure contract and grant compliance, preparing accurate quarterly, annual, and other financial required reports, monitoring expenditures for cash requirements and preparing forms for grantor revenue requests, distributing monthly financial reports and copies of grant documents to the respective program director and completing other relevant administrative assignments; Assists with the maintenance and update of all files related to contract and grants; and Performs all other job-related duties as requested. Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate at time of hire; At least two (2) years of college or university coursework in accounting, public administration, or business or three (3) years of college or university education and related accounting experience; Knowledge of principles, methods, and practices of accounting as evidenced by prior experience and interview with the ability to compile and complete complex financial reports; Moderate to advanced computer skills at time of hire; and Ability to operate office equipment including an adding machine.
