Under general supervision, performs testing, repair and adjustment work on standard automotive and other motor equipment; and does related work as required. Inspects automotive and other ordinary motor equipment to locate trouble and determine needed repairs. Overhauls motors, repairs transmissions, hydraulic systems, starters, carburetors and other parts and assemblies. May do greasing, battery and tire repair work as required. 2 years of experience required in related work. OEM or ASE certification may be required. EVT Level 1 & Level 2 certification may be required. State Enhanced Safety Inspector's Certification may be required. Must have a valid Massachusetts Driver's License. Must be a resident of the city of Boston.
