The position: We’re looking for an Asbestos Abatement Worker to join our team! Under the direct supervision of the Hazmat Supervisor, performs a variety of duties as directed within the field of asbestos abatement. The Location: 1300 N 130th St Seattle, WA 98133 The ideal candidate will have: Completion of a State of Washington recognized course for asbestos abatement workers. State of Washington Certification for Asbestos Workers. A valid Washington State Driver's License and fully insurable driving record. Must maintain Washington State Certification for Asbestos Worker and Asbestos Site Supervisor. What will you do? Build containment and decontamination areas, remove asbestos materials, and ensure proper disposal in compliance with EPA and local regulations. Operate HEPA vacuums and negative-air units, and perform demolition and cleanup of assigned work areas. Site Supervisor: maintain daily logs, ensure regulatory compliance, oversee project setup and abatement activities, monitor worker air exposure, act as the regulatory point of contact, and manage onsite staff and contractors. Contribute to developing and implementing goals, work plans, and performance measures, and collaborate effectively with team members while working well under pressure. Attend required safety training, properly use and maintain PPE, report injuries and hazards promptly, complete incident reports, and follow all safety and emergency-preparedness procedures.
