We are seeking a motivated Fitness Instructor to lead engaging and results-driven group fitness classes for staff at a secure facility. The ideal candidate is energetic, reliable, and experienced in delivering dynamic workouts that cater to a range of fitness levels while maintaining a strong focus on safety and strength training. Candidates should be able to adapt training services to meet the changing demographic needs of participants. About This Role: Designs and executes dynamic, small-group training sessions at a secure facility for staff Modifies exercises safely for clients with different skill levels or injuries Track class attendance and set up/clean up workout equipment Provide an encouraging, welcoming, and positive environment Monitor fitness areas to ensure proper and safe usage of exercise equipment Report any exercise equipment malfunctions or environmental risks Minimum Requirements: 18 years or older 12 months of related experience Current CPR/First Aid Certifications Current, nationally recognized Fitness Instructor certification (e.g., ACE, NASM, AFAA, or equivalent) Demonstrated experience teaching group fitness classes Successful completion of a criminal background check Preferences: Strong communication and people skills Experience designing training routines for small groups in a gym setting Ability to work independently and manage time Special Requirements: This position will require balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. May require exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work Schedule and Location: Class location at a secure facility in the historic Manassas area. Sessions are typically twice per week on weekdays, between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm, approximately 3 hours/week.
