Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of employees engaged in set-up, operations, and cleaning of Civic Center and Auditorium/Coliseum. Plan, assign, and supervise the work of employees engaged in set-up, operation, and cleaning of Civic Center and Auditorium/Coliseum; Interview, select, train, evaluate, and discipline employees; Prepare work schedules and assign work to employees; Inspect work in progress and upon completion; Maintain inventory of equipment including tables, chairs, and portable staging; Supervise proper storage and maintenance of equipment; Identify equipment to be cleaned or repaired; Consult with others regarding event set-up needs; Perform related duties as directed. Completion of a high school diploma or the equivalent with an additional one to three years experience in custodial work or building operations; or any combination of relevant education and experience which provides the following: Valid Current Driver's License Physical Exam Required Knowledge of: Operations and equipment to set-up and arrange facilities for banquets, meetings, conventions, etc.; Techniques used in custodial work. Ability to: Supervise the work of others; Follow written and oral instructions; Communicate effectively with others. Physical Requirements: Continuously stand and walk. Occasionally bend and kneel. Occasionally climb stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and other inclined surfaces. Frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Frequently carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally carry up to 50 pounds. Frequently push or pull objects. Frequently flex upper trunk forward and partially at the knees. Frequently rotate upper trunk forward to right or left while sitting or standing. Frequently reach above, at, or below shoulder height. Frequently drive equipment.
