Advertised Job Summary This postdoctoral position will work under limited supervision on the antipsychotic effects of CB2 receptor activation in the laboratory of Daniel Foster at the University of South Carolina Floyd School of Medicine. A doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in area of research specialty by the start date of employment and excellent English speaking/writing skills are required. The demonstrated ability to write research manuscripts, grants and train undergraduate students in the lab is preferred. The individual must be highly motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team. Experience handling rodents (rats and/or mice), conducting rodent behavioral analyses, tissue dissection, and knowledge of rodent breeding is preferred. Experience in writing and securing local and federal grants, and experience of research program development, implementation, and evaluation preferred. Candidate must demonstrate commitment to conducting business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures and regulations. This position is established in support of expanded research activities.
