The Customer Services Fix It Specialist is responsible for managing and supporting the Facilities Department's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), ensuring accurate asset data, preventive maintenance scheduling, and system functionality. This role serves as the primary point of contact for work order intake and coordination, provides exceptional customer service to campus stakeholders, and supports Facilities staff through training, technical assistance, and process improvement initiatives. The position also oversees department mobile device administration, vendor coordination, reporting, and documentation while serving as a key liaison between Facilities, Information Technology, vendors, and campus customers. This role contributes to the efficient operation of Facilities services by maintaining reliable systems, supporting end users, and ensuring timely resolution of maintenance requests. Basic MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and general knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), or similar database systems to track work orders. Research, analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain privacy and a high degree of confidentiality and discretion of SLCC records. Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to collaborate and work effectively across multiple campus departments and organizations. Ability to independently organize and prioritize work across multiple assignments. Computer, data entry skills, and ability to learn new computer software. Familiar with SLCC campuses. Troubleshoot and research problems. Ability to handle multiple assignments and maintain data accuracy. Communication skills including written and verbal. Ability to be self-motivated and a self-starter. Ability to work with a team or independently and complete time sensitive work. Ability to learn, teach, and train. Knowledge of and ability to adhere to policies and procedures. Organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to working effectively under pressure, with multiple deadlines and changing priorities. Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities. High school diploma. Two (2) - Five (5) years of experience. Equivalent combo of education & experience requirement. Valid Utah Driver’s License. Associate's degree. Experience working in a support role in a higher education facilities management environment. Experience with CMMS systems.
