Job Duties: The ES Eligibility Case Manager performs general work duties related to the administration of SNAP and TANF programs in the Economic Services Division to help restore or improve customer financial stability. Conducts quality SNAP /TANF interviews by using agency policy and procedures. Completes both face to face and phone interviews as assigned and will complete SNAP/TANF re-certifications and renewals. Processes accurately SNAP /TANF applications, renewals, re-certifications by following DSS policy and procedures. Identifies and properly code and refer applicants to the work program for ABAWD and E&T. Processes system generated alerts for the county of residence as well as individual caseload alerts. Identifies and document over-payments and make referrals to the Benefit Integrity Unit, prepare supporting documents for Fair Hearings and represent the agency in Fair Hearings. Maintains case records and files in agency designated computer system for documentation and auditing purposes as required by agency policy in a confidential, timely and accurate manner. Prepares reports as requested by supervisor or otherwise required and follows program policy and procedures. Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as directed including DSNAP. High School Diploma and at least three (3) years of experience in Economic Services Programs. Associate Degree and one (1) year of experience in Economic Services Programs. Bachelor's Degree or higher may be substituted for all or part of the work requirements.
