Stark State College is seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time instructor to join our Massage Therapy Clinic. Typical Responsibilities Include: Provide clinical instruction, supervision, and remediation to students in support of program faculty and curriculum objectives. Provide laboratory instruction, supervision, and remediation to students in support of program faculty and curriculum objectives. Assist lead faculty with classroom instruction of specialized course content. Provide individual and small-group tutoring to support student learning and reinforce program curriculum. Administer competency and practical skills assessments in both laboratory and clinical settings. Evaluate and grade competency assessments, practical examinations, and laboratory exercises. Conduct and document student evaluations during clinical experiences. Assist faculty with simulation-based learning activities, demonstrations, and competency assessments. Prepare, organize, and maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and instructional materials. Support faculty in preparing equipment, supplies, and instructional materials for clinical practice experiences. Monitor the safety, functionality, and operational condition of laboratory and clinical equipment. Maintain, organize, and monitor inventory of program equipment and supplies. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of instructional equipment. Collect, organize, and maintain data to support program assessment, institutional reporting, and accreditation requirements. To Be Considered You Will Need: You have current knowledge of the massage therapy discipline including: current trends and direction of the profession, clinical knowledge in interventions, procedures, and treatments, and must have thorough knowledge of critical care as it relates to massage therapy Can effectively communicate with multifaceted student populations You have strong organizational skills Can demonstrate the ability to critically think with decision-making skills. Prior teaching in discipline is also preferred. Minimum of Associate's degree in the field. Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Must hold a current credentialed as a Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Ohio. Must have a minimum of 3 years of full-time experience as a clinical therapist.
