Bachelors Degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, or Business Related field. Review fixed asset purchases, process fixed asset transactions, and perform fixed asset analyses. Track, tag, inventory, and audit capital assets to ensure compliance with College, USHE, state, and federal requirements. Oversee the College's non-capital asset process, including equipment tracking, record maintenance, and policy compliance. Perform depreciation calculations, capitalize fixed asset costs, and properly record asset retirements and disposals. Perform and coordinate regular physical inventories of capital assets and reconcile inventory records. Reconcile fixed asset accounts and supporting schedules. Serve on the College's Centralized Equipment Committee by providing subject matter expertise on capital assets, advising on equipment purchases, and helping ensure proper stewardship of institutional assets and funding. Assist with the preparation and submission of reports and other information to governmental agencies and governing bodies. Assist with developing and maintaining the general ledger accounting system to facilitate accurate financial reporting. Assist with the preparation of year-end financial reports, footnotes, audit schedules, and external audit requests. Assist with the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and process maps related to fixed assets and equipment management. Assist with institutional service journal vouchers (JVs), ensuring transactions are accurate, properly documented, and recorded in accordance with College policies and accounting standards.
