Workforce Development Instructor, Industrial (Tyger River Campus)

As Staff for Workforce Development's Industrial/Manufacturing programs, instruction of contract and open enrollment industrial/manufacturing courses; responsible for designing and implementing learning strategies for students; developing course syllabi and instructional materials; maintaining instructional records; student recruitment, advisement and retention; developing and evaluating courses, programs and services; participating in college activities and committees; and other duties which support the mission and initiatives of the College. Teaches assigned courses at all SCC campuses and on-site client locations to meet program needs, including courses scheduled before or after standard business operating hours to accommodate student and employer availability. Responsible for curriculum development, creation of syllabi, and material development/selection. In conjunction with the Executive Director of Workforce Development, meets with new and existing clients to deliver contract training. Advises students in academic and employment planning. Works with the supervisor to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and that repairs are scheduled as necessary. A bachelor's degree and related instructional experience. Combined education and experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree. A minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing production and quality. Occasional night and/or weekend hours may be required for scheduled events.
