This Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) posting will be used to fill vacant positions at our Rifle and Delta locations. There are endless opportunities with the CDOC . The Rifle Correctional Center is a 192-bed Level I minimum security facility, which is located on a 75-acre site in rural Garfield County in Western Colorado. The facility originally opened in the 1960s as a satellite labor camp and has evolved over time to its present format. Our current programming continues to maintain a community-based labor service but has expanded to include secondary education, vocational training, and a reintegration program intended to reduce recidivism. The Delta Correctional Center has experienced three expansions culminating in the current population of 480 male inmates. Located approximately nine miles west of Delta, Colorado, the facility encompasses an area of approximately 113.85 acres. DCC has a capacity of 477 inmates at the minimum custody levels. Current CDOC CO I employees are encouraged to apply for transfers through the posted Central Transfer Process job announcement. Appli cants are encouraged to review the following series of Administrative Regulations (AR) to prepare for the comparative analysis process: 100's and 300's series.
