As a Van Driver, you will perform the following duties: Provide Transportation: Operate county vehicle an average of 150 miles each day Assist Door-to-Door: Willingly and patiently assist consumers, including senior adults and wheelchair-dependent consumers along rough payment or unpaved paths, from the door of their home, on and off the vehicle, and to the door of their drop-off location Participate in Teamwork: Communicate effectively both person to person and via two-way radio, follow directions listed on a mobile tablet, and easily adjust in daily schedule to meet consumer needs Support Social Contact: Be a people-person as you will be providing important assistance and socialization throughout the day, while following a schedule Help Ensure Safety: Contact a dispatcher to help correct any scheduling conflicts; complete the daily pre-trip checklist and report any issues or changes; participate in agency training Work Schedule and Additional Information: Part-time employment, 14-21+ hours per week Transportation operates 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturdays Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Special Requirement: You must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license. Condition of Employment: No suspension of driver’s license within the last three years.
