As a Corrections Utility Plant Operator, you will perform the following duties: Boiler Operation: Maintain and assess boiler systems under normal and emergency conditions using manual and automatic controls Equipment Maintenance: Operate and care for pumps, fans, control systems, and other auxiliary equipment Water Testing: Test boiler water chemistry, track results, and manage supplies for treatment and analysis Facility Care: Complete housekeeping tasks and conduct daily inventories of assigned plant areas Operational Communication: Report concerns, complete documentation, and maintain regular contact with supervisor Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Sunday - Thursday. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $49,010.00 (before taxes).
