JOB OBJECTIVE: To operate heavy equipment in constructing, maintaining and repairing streets, ditches, alleys and other Public Works projects. This position is designated as a safety/security sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol screening. For a complete list of essential job functions, please click HERE. These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through the completion of eighth (8 th ) grade and one (1) year of experience in the operation of heavy earth-moving equipment or related equipment. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT: Must possess a valid Arkansas Class A (Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment; Must obtain a valid Arkansas Class A (Commercial Vehicle) Driver’s License without Automatic Transmission “E” or Tractor Trailer “O” restriction and must obtain an N endorsement within one hundred and twenty (120) days of employment and maintain licensure and endorsement for duration of employment in this position.
