Welding Adjunct Salary: $750 - $800 per credit hour* Classification: Adjunct Faculty Department: PSNS Business & Technology Reports to: Dean of Business & Technology This role will be teaching welding classes at the Bremerton and Shelton campuses. Specific job functions are listed below. Olympic College, an award-winning college on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State, strives to attract faculty who will help accomplish the college's mission of helping students succeed. Olympic College seeks to recruit faculty who will enthusiastically support the College's commitment to the academic success of all of our students, including first-generation students, students of color, students with disabilities, military veterans, students of varying ages, students of diverse sexual orientations and gender expressions, and students of diverse socio-economic backgrounds. Teach college-level course(s) in accordance with college catalog, schedule of classes, course outlines, course syllabi, and departmental guidelines. Provide quality teaching, including related preparation and grading. Provide class syllabi to students enrolled in classes and to the division office as requested. Maintain accurate records of students and complete forms as required. Punctual communication with students, faculty, and staff. May include evening instruction. Perform other related duties as assigned and/or required. Minimum Qualifications Five Years as a welder and/or as a supervisor of welders Experience in common welding processes like OFC, PAC, CAC-A cutting processes, OAW, and GTAW, GMAW-steel and alum, SMAW, FCAW-SS, and FCAW-GS Desired Qualifications Teaching experience College degree in a related field Welding certifications Successful Applicants will Foster a climate of multicultural understanding and appreciation.
